Chris Deutsch — Minneapolis Real Estate

Behind every real estate listing is a real life change — a divorce requiring discretion, an empty nest carrying grief, or a parent's house holding a lifetime of memories. That's why the quiet part gets said out loud here. (The memories aren't in the drywall.)

It Started with a
Cobb Salad.

The ScoopThe Origin Story

“Saks Fifth Avenue, 1989. The café.”

Carrying Cobb salads to ladies who lunched was the job, but watching that operation from the ground up was the education.

Look, I spent fifteen years at Saks Fifth Avenue, working my way from the café trays to running the entire store. Attaining that level of management taught me what real service actually means. It isn't about white gloves or rehearsed lines. It's about listening to the quiet part of a conversation.

I never once closed my office door then, and I don't now. The square footage of your house doesn't change the fact that leaving it is hard. You don't have to keep up appearances with me.

The Pivot:

In 2001, a friend overpaid for a home because the agent cared more about the commission than the client. That friend's frustration became my mission: be the person that buyer needed.

Today, I carry a Sharpie in my pocket. When I walk a basement, I mark the inspection date and my initials on the water heater — so the next buyer knows someone competent was paying attention.

Same job. Different inventory.
I protect your peace of mind.

I'm Not For Everyone.
That's the point.

Not For You If:

  • You want a “yes man” who'll price your home $50K too high just to win the listing.
  • You need it sold in 48 hours regardless of what you actually net.
  • You measure professionalism by how many junior agents show up with matching polo shirts.

I Am For You If:

  • This is a divorce and you need discretion more than a sign in the yard.
  • You're selling the family home and the empty nest grief is real — not something to “get over.”
  • This is “Dad's house” and you need someone who treats it with respect, not a quick flip.
  • Your old neighborhood doesn't fit anymore, but you don't want to feel judged for moving up.

That's exactly why I'm here.

Which one just made you nod?

No assistant reads this. No drip campaign. Just me.

What You Never Have to Deal With

What Gets Remembered

South-facing bedrooms matter to you? Remembered. Busy streets are a dealbreaker? Gone from the list before you see it. I don't waste your Saturday showing you homes that miss the mark.

What Gets Filtered

The 10pm tire-kicker who wants to “just chat”? Handled before morning coffee. The lowball artist who thinks “cute but dated” is a negotiation strategy? Redirected. The financing drama, the neighborhood gossip, the buyer who confuses your kitchen with HGTV? None of it reaches your Sunday afternoon.

What Gets Handled

The contingencies. The inspection negotiations. The 2am appraisal panic call. The part where you thank your lucky stars you didn't have to deal with any of that? That's the job.

What This Isn't

If “strategic asset positioning” sounds like the luxury you want, there are plenty of agents in navy suits who'll oblige. If luxury means someone who remembers which way the afternoon light hits your kitchen and marks the water heater so the next buyer knows — you're in the right place.
