The "Good" List.
Most directories are pay-to-play. This one isn't. These are communities I've toured, inspected, and where my clients (and their parents) actually live.
The Waters of Edina
"This isn't a 'facility', it's a cruise ship that doesn't leave the dock. The food is legitimate restaurant quality (I've eaten there). High energy, very social. If you want quiet, look elsewhere. If you want a party, this is it."
Why it made the list:
A vibrant community located in the heart of Edina, known for its active social calendar and integrated wellness programs.
Trillium Woods
"The heavy hitter of the west metro. It's a buy-in model (CCRC), so the upfront cost is steep, but the financial predictability is the selling point. The architecture is stunning. Feels like a high-end lodge."
Why it made the list:
A Life Plan Community (CCRC) offering a resort-style campus and a guaranteed plan for future care.
The Vern of Linden Hills
"For the person who refuses to leave the city. You can still hear the trolley. Small, intimate, and doesn't feel institutional. It feels like a house. Because it basically is one."
Why it made the list:
Boutique assisted living integrated directly into the Linden Hills neighborhood.
Need the "Do Not Call" list?
There are places I won't let my clients move to. I don't publish that list online, but I'll tell you over coffee.
